Pumpkin Picking

A couple weeks ago we spent the day pumpkin-ing!

What better way to spend a fun Saturday?

The first place we went to had lots of fun activities for the
girls-- they really enjoy this sand pit.

Clara Rose's favorite is feeding the goats!

The cow train ride!

There they go!

A little car!

A hay ride and along the way we fed some cows!

MMmmmmm!
Warm Apple cider.

In the afternoon we were off to a pumpkin patch-- and Jie Jie came with us!

After much searching through the patch,
Josie found a pumpkin that
was just right for her.

Waiting for the hay ride to take us back to the farm
from the pumpkin patch.

Oh boy!
A train ride!

What a great way to end a fun trip to
the pumpkin patch!

Jack-O-Lanterns Galore!

I am behind on posting picts of all our fun Fall activities-- so the commentary is going to be short.

A few weeks ago the girls and I, cousins, and a few friends made the
trip to the Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular

and . . .

it was . . .

well . . . .

SPECTACULAR!
(what else were you expecting?)

There were over 5000 jack-o-lanterns!

Traditional and

Not so traditional, but very--

Spectacular!

Josie in front of a pumpkin with a carving
of the Great Wall of China.

The girls with their cousins-- everyone is excited to be out
in the dark
after bed time
looking at jack-o-lanterns!

There was a Christmas themed area complete with

Snow!

Wow!

Lots of Spooky!

These weren't your typical
Great Pumpkins Charlie Brown!

Loon Nature Center

On Sunday we spent the morning exploring
the land around our home in NH.

Emily, Josie, Nate, and Clara Rose
by the frog pond.

Jie Jie and Josie in the forest.

We walked the property
in the forest.

It was a little dark because
the trees are sooo thick!

Our morning exploration just wasn't enough!

So we headed off to the Loon Center and had
 really great afternoon!

We crossed a bridge shortly after starting
the Loon Trail.

There were lots of interesting
nooks and crannys to investigate throughout our walk.

Wow!

What a lovely sight!

Cousin Emily fell along the way and got a minor
Boo-boo.

Uncle Wim was the only
one who seemed to care.

Everyone was happy to sit a rest a bit toward the
end of our nature hike.
]
Back at the Loon Center,
the younger set had fun making thier very
own Loon Nest!

Later in the day, all the kids ran off some energy
and played for a bit before it was time to head home.

The game of choice?

Duck, Duck Goose!

That's right!

Everyone played, even the dads and the really big kids!

Sibling wrestling matches were quick to follow.

We LOVE New Hampshire!!!

We don't want to go home!

Squam Lake Nature Center

Squam Lake Nature Center

On saturday, we all headed out for a fun day full of nature.

Clara Rose and
Emily admiring the little mice.

Jie Jie caught a baby snake and Ge Ge held it for everyone to see.

A nice picture of Gabrielle and Wim.

Josis and Nate spent most of the day skipping
along the path holding hands.

Everyone had a good time checking out all the
fun interactive stuff throughout the center.

One area had lots of tunnels to crawl through
that were filled with fun animal facts!

Even the big kids and parents were getting in on the fun!

Wow!

A spider web ladder!

Whoa!

Look at that big spider!!

Are we glad it isn't real!

Josie and Cousin Emily listening to
calls of the wild!

Josie and Nate hanging loose.

Ge Ge keeping an eye on the
younger set.

One of the most exciting displays!

Real life, honest to God,
Mountain Lion Poop!

What a fun day for everyone!
