What's Zoo with Ye Ye?

Friday was not the greatest of beach days so the girls suggested we take
Ye Ye on a fun trip to the zoo!

Gabrielle teaching Clara Rose how to use binoculars

Everyone looking o ver their map for the next place to go.

Jie Jie, Josie, and Clara Rose checking out the "winds of Africa" wind tunnel.

Picture Perfect!

Everyone watching the seals swim by-- super close to the glass.

More fun and silly shots-- can you guess who is the silliest of them all?

Ye Ye is the silliest of them all!

Josie posing for a pict with the Red Pandas in the background-- an all-time fave of hers.
Red Pandas are born in China just like me!

Our Zoo journey ended with everone seeing how far they can jump
compared to different animals.

Ye Ye made it to the Moon Bear at 8-ft., but we are pretty sure he added a skip in there!

Gabrielle made it all the way to a rabbit!

Clara Rose is cute-- but not to far of a hopper just yet!

Josie made it about to a flea.
What's a flea?

Gabrielle got me good with this shot-- hopping it up to a rabbit.

Coastal Vacay with Ye Ye

Home from NH, it was time to take Ye Ye to the beach.

Jie Jie and Clara Rose enjoying some ice tea by the sea.

Not the greatest shot of Josie watchin Jieg head to the waves.

The girls showing off their sea garden in the sand.

On the way home from the beach we made a pit stop at the fish market to get some yummy lobsters for dinner.

Ye Ye was pretty excited!

The girls were pretty excited as well, but kept their distance.

Scenic Vistas with Ye Ye!

After our fun day at Story Land, Wim headed home with ALL the kids and me and Ye Ye stayed behind to enjoy some time together kid-free.

This was my first extended time away from the girls since
we adopted Clara Rose over a year ago.

I took Ye Ye on a scenic road tour of the White Mountains.

Our day was filled with lots of scenic views like this one.

Views at Willey Hisorical House.

Mt. Washington Hotel in the background.

The site for the new Man in the Mountain landmark site.

The man in the mountain lost his nose a few years back and no
longer looks like a face in the mountain.

Walking back from the site of the new landmark, we thought this rock face looks like a turkey face in the mountain.

Can you see it?

More scenic vistas and there was a place for my camera to use to the timer.
The biggest scene of the day-- driving along the Kangamangus HWY, a bunch of cars looked like they were colliding on the side of the road.

Earl yelled, 'a wreck!'

I yelled, 'it's gotta be a moose!"

Sure enough! A moose, only about 100-feet off the road.

He was slurping some goodies in the wetland area.

See the moose in the background toward the top of the picture.

This is the first moose I've ever seen in the wild!
Another scenic stop at lake Chocorocu (or something like that).

The next morning-- Ye Ye getting breakfast before we start our journey home.

On the way home we made a pit stop to enjoy a few more
cenic vistas of Lake Winnepisaki.

Aside from all the beauty, I could not get over how 'quiet' this time was!

StoryLand with Ye Ye!

A trip to New Hampshire wouldn't be the same without spending a day at Story Land!

The girls were very excited to bring Ye Ye and show him all the fun things to do.

There is a leprechaun in there!

"One, Two, buckle my shoe!"

Everybody wanted to ride the 'Big Red Chicken'
(Dora enthusiast everywhere will get this)

Soon we were on to the actual rides offered at Storyland--
all made specifically for the younger set.

Clara Rose waiting to get on the Polar Coaster-- her very first roller coaster!
"I was too little to ride this last year, but now I'm a big girl!"

Going up!

Josie was all smiles and laughs!
It was a great roller coaster ride-- Clara Rose exclaimed "weee" and
"This is fun!" the whole time.

Of course the each wanted to drive the antique cars.

"Meee tooo?! I get to drive!"

That is one satisfied smile!

The loopy lab filled with nerf balls and guns to shoot them!

The target?

Whoa! That's Ye Ye down there!

The flying whales.
Do you think Josie likes amusement rides?

The flying shoes.
"Mommy, we're like toes!"

The end of the day, the girls were able to meet one of their favorite cartoon characters--

George the Monkey!

"We Love Story Land!"

On the way home, the girls slept and Ye Ye and I enjoyed a treat of our own!
