A few quick updates on Josie Dong Dong. She appears to be cutting in molars on the bottom. One has poked through, but we think it's counterpart on the other side is also coming in. No visuals of it yet. Josie is being very fussy with these teeth. The others didn't seem to bother her too much, but she is feeling it this time and is letting us know that she isn't happy about it.
After being back to her NOT sleeping through the night for the past week, she actually slept through the night last night.
Other than her teeth situation, she knows where her teeth are (also referred to as toofers thanks to yours truly here). She knows her ears and her head. She also says "HI" pretty regularly and is working on "thank you." The thank you is more like "tnk oo," but its coming along.
It is unseasonably hot all of sudden here in Rhode Island. The temps this past weekend soared into the 90's inland and the 80's along the coast. Guess where we decided to go-- you got it. The coast.
It was Josie's 2nd time to the beach and her first time to what I consider to be a real beach. The other beach was on a bay, not the full Ocean. Josie enjoys the beach and she loves water, but she really doesn't like sand and tries to keep from touching it.
Here is Wim trying to put her on the sand and she lifts her feet to keep from touching it.
"Knock it Off DADDY!!!"
"What AM I sitting on?? YUCK!"
Josie did have fun digging in the sand while sitting on the blanket or her most favorite spot-- my lap. Of all the hats she has-- none came with straps and she hates all of them. I found this one in a consignment shop for a whopping $1 it has straps and she LOVES it!
Josie wasn't to sure about the whole lobster thing.
"Ack! There is a big monster bug crawling on the floor!"
"Mommy says we're going to eat you monster bug."
Other big news in the world of Josie Dong Dong, she now has enough hair so that I can actually put a decent hair bow on her head.
This is really only partially true. While I can get the hair bow in, it only lasts for a little while because her hair is still pretty short and it is thin. It lasted about 15 minutes into the service in church and then fell out.
After Church on Sunday, Wim informed us that the pool was ready for use! Yippee!!
We bought a duckie floatation device for toddlers.
Josie had an awesome time in the pool riding around on her new friend!
We hope that everyone is having a great Summer!
Love,
Reena

So cute - I wish I could take Ada to the beach :)
Try Target for sun hats with straps! In the one out here, they are on an end cap near the baby section, and they have a whole line of UV protected swimwear, swim diapers, and sun hats in all different designs. Here's an example:

Josie seem to be enjoying Summer so far! She always has such a big smile on her face! Lily also loves the pool. I hope the teeth come in quickly!

Awesome beach photos! Josie is totally adorable. Caroline and I are off to Florida to hang out with my parents for two weeks in July and Clay and Adrian are taking father-son trip to San Francisco to watch baseball games (life's tough when you're 13 and just got braces). Glad to see you all thriving. Love, Jena
