My previous post about the 100 Good Wish Quilt-- the party was scheduled for that day, but was snowed out. The girls still recieved their quilts though and we spent much of the day decorating our home for Chinese New Year and making yummy dumplings for dinner. Josie's China Care mentor had a cooking class on dumplings and now we have a really good and authentic recipe! They were delish!!!
This past weekend we went to another Chinese New Year party. Clara Rose performed on stage with her Chinese language and dance class.
Pucker UP!
Dance Rehearsal!
Clara Rose is fourth in from the left.
A Dragon Dance
(different from the Lion Dance)
Waiting to go on the stage.
Mongolian Cowgirls!
What a fun dace they did!
Josie wasn't feeling it this year so she sat in the audience and enjoyed the shows.
The acrobatic Chef-- this guy is great!
He is balancing a soy sauce bottle on a chopstick
that he is holding in his mouth.
It was a great afternoon with lots of amazing performances!
