Scenic Vistas with Ye Ye!

After our fun day at Story Land, Wim headed home with ALL the kids and me and Ye Ye stayed behind to enjoy some time together kid-free.

This was my first extended time away from the girls since
we adopted Clara Rose over a year ago.

I took Ye Ye on a scenic road tour of the White Mountains.

Our day was filled with lots of scenic views like this one.

Views at Willey Hisorical House.

Mt. Washington Hotel in the background.

The site for the new Man in the Mountain landmark site.

The man in the mountain lost his nose a few years back and no
longer looks like a face in the mountain.

Walking back from the site of the new landmark, we thought this rock face looks like a turkey face in the mountain.

Can you see it?

More scenic vistas and there was a place for my camera to use to the timer.
The biggest scene of the day-- driving along the Kangamangus HWY, a bunch of cars looked like they were colliding on the side of the road.

Earl yelled, 'a wreck!'

I yelled, 'it's gotta be a moose!"

Sure enough! A moose, only about 100-feet off the road.

He was slurping some goodies in the wetland area.

See the moose in the background toward the top of the picture.

This is the first moose I've ever seen in the wild!
Another scenic stop at lake Chocorocu (or something like that).

The next morning-- Ye Ye getting breakfast before we start our journey home.

On the way home we made a pit stop to enjoy a few more
cenic vistas of Lake Winnepisaki.

Aside from all the beauty, I could not get over how 'quiet' this time was!
