Vacay- Day 1: A Hiking We Will Go

Vacations are so sweet!

So Sweet and they fly by so fast-- to fast for me to take time blogging last week.

I am going to try and do a flurry of posts this from all the fun we had.

Day 1: Ye Ye, the girls and I made it up to the Barn late Friday evening.

The next day we headed out for an adventure hiking West Rattlesnake Mountain.

The little cousins were thrilled to share the van together, watching movies
and playing video games along the way.

There were a couple boo-boos along the way,
but we made it to the summit-- which was about a mile hiking and just under 500 ft. elevation.

It may not sound like much, but the younger crowd it was HUGE!

Cousin Nate, Gabriell, Josie, and Xavier
checking out the view.

Clara Rose taking a little rest.

Cousins Nate, Emily and their Daddy, Bob.

The infamous Ye Ye!

He sure does look up here-- much better than he looks in Ill.

The views were quite amazing and breathtaking--
especially for such a short hike.

Silly Ye Ye acting like he is falling!

A series of pictures . . .

Back at the Barn, Bob got the fire blazing.

We had a gourmet dinner of roasting hot dogs on a stick.

Clara Rose was beside herself with two
of her favorite men together.

Ye Ye, always the charmer with the little ladies.

Hot dogs were followed by tasty smores!

The girls had lots of sugar energy to burn off--
bouncing around in their room with cousin Emily.

A perfect end to a wonderful day--
bedtime stories uniquely crafted by Ye Ye.
