Last week I took a day off from work and made a special day with the 'gurls' at a nearby aquarium. It was Good Friday, the last day of school break, and Earth Day-- not exactly the making for a nice quiet day at the aquarium!
But fun was had by all and THAT is all that really matters.
Josie and Clara Rose with their friend Grace in front of a really great
Squid Painting-- Yoo-who, Cap't Nemo, where are you?
Josie and her friend Claire waiting for the Beluga Whale feeding to begin.
This pool usually houses baby stingrays that we can pet, but today it held several baby sharks-- NO PETTING!
See the baby hammer head?
Sea Lions a harbor seals.
"They swim Fast!"
"Awe! Penguins!"
The girls had lots of fun seeing all the animals and started thier own parade.
A few other kids decided to join in.
The youngest of the crew, Clara Rose, doing a great job keeping up
with all the big 'gurls.'
Enjoying a Sea Lion show.
Checking all kinds of fun fish and other cool critters inside.
Some kind of starfish.
Estresis (sp-- I'm not good at Spanish!)
"OOOooooooo, look at that big shark!"
Jelly fish
Even the octopus came out to say hi to all the girls.
She really drew a crowd!
Back at the beginning, also the end, another look at the
Beluga Whale.
She swam right by the 'gurls' and Clara Rose exclaimed,
"Ohhhhhhhhhhhh!"
and backed up into rock.
Five good friends all feeling like Hot Stuff
at the aquarium!

That looks like a great time and I must say those are some beautiful, happy looking kids.
Ada would go CRAZY over that hammerhead shark - she loves them. The Aquariums here in the land-locked states are just pathetic, I swear.
